Here is a model in the “Romantic” style where we combined the colors rosso corsa and vermilion.

Rosso corsa: How was this color actually discovered?

It happened in 1907, when Prince Scipione Borghese embarked on a race from Beijing to Paris, accompanied by four other teams. His car was “a 40 hp Italian model made in Turin, strong but heavy, painted in a bright poppy red.”

The car suffered during the trip, “it was sunburned and like us, it had acquired a darker shade.” However, the prince emerged victorious on the boulevards of Paris. “In honor of this victory, the original color of the car became the national color of Italian race cars, being later chosen by Enzo Ferrari for his cars: Rosso corsa, racing red.”

Vermilion: How was this color actually discovered?

In 1909, archaeologists discovered “a luxurious house with large windows, overlooking the sea.” After the first excavation, a perfectly executed but absolutely indecipherable red mural was found. Due to this discovery, this site is known as Villa dei Misteri. “The walls of the room were covered with expressive images of people on an intense, dark red background.”

The extravagant use of vermilion followed the intention to inspire veneration because “vermilion was the most coveted red pigment of those times.”

Vermilion, or mercury sulfide, is found in nature in the form of cinnabar. This red mineral is the main ore from which mercury is extracted.

“… Vasile Kandinski described the color of vermilion as a sensation of sharpness, like hot steel that can be extinguished by water.” (Text inspired by the book “Colors and their secret life” pages 144, 145, 147).

 Returning to the “Romantic” model that I used to customize my mirror, we describe, but also see from the images, what the mirror looks like before and after. The mirror was embedded into the wall using screws and some white plastic elements, which looked unsightly and attracted attention. I chose to mask this with red roses, made (manually) from colored cardboard and crepe paper. The roses were applied to the mirror using a silicone soldering gun.

The story of the mirror begins like this:

One day in June, a mysterious young woman went on a short trip to the botanical garden. The garden carries on its wings the fragrant scent of roses, roses dripping with dots, roses in various colors, shaped in waves, buds of roses (Petrina Walter Showalter, Angela Kordes, Leipzig Wilhelm Jeh Kordes, Sheila’s, Perfume John Sheridan, Forever Young, Rhaps In Blue, Holstein pearls Kordes, Pascali Lens, Baccara Meilland, Super Star Tantau, Penguin W. Hordes, and Hocus Pocus), pergolas with climbing roses, rare plant species, spectacular trees, birds, insects, ducks and ducklings, turtles and their babies, water lilies, and many other wonders.

After visiting a section of the garden, the young woman sat down on a bench facing a lake, where she watched the ducks and the ducklings. She sat for a while, relaxing and watching the lake and its inhabitants, listening to the melodious singing of the birds.

It was evening, the lake was getting dark, the ducklings were sleeping in the shade of a Taxodium near the lake. Ioana went home. Once in the house, she noticed that the mirror she usually looked into had changed. Suddenly, sweet smelling red roses bloomed at the edges of the mirror.

She stopped to look at her face, and noticed them.

They are wonderful! (she thought).

She noticed two black crosses and two black hearts on her face. Then she understood everything. The mirror was sending her a message. It was trying to tell her that it was a special mirror, even enchanted. It was trying to rediscover the romantic side of the mysterious young woman. The young woman had forgotten about the romantic facets in her personality, she had forgotten her sensitivity, and that is why the roses appeared.

The marks on her face were in fact tears of joy and sadness for what she had experienced throughout her life.

This sensitive side of the face had been long forgotten, and was hidden in the mists of time. But on this day, he had rediscovered himself with the help of the enchanted mirror.

Rosso corsa: cum s-a descoperit aceasta culoare in realitate? 

S-a intamplat in 1907, cand printul Scipione Borghese, a mers intr-o calatorie cu automobilul, de la Beijing la Paris, impreuna cu alte 4 echipe. Automobilul sau era: “un model Itala de 40 CP fabricat la Torino, puternic, insa greu, vopsit intr-un rosu-mac strident.”

Masina a avut de suferit in cursul calatoriei: “era arsa de soare si la fel ca noi, capatase o nuanta mai inchisa.” Cu toate acestea, printul a ajuns victorios pe bulevardele pariziene. “In onoarea acestei victorii, culoarea initiala a automobilului a devenit culoarea nationala a masinilor de curse italiene, fiind mai tarziu aleasa si de Enzo Ferrari pentru masinile sale: Rosso corsa, rosu de curse.“

Vermilionul: cum s-a descoperit aceasta culoare in realitate?

Arheologii din perioada 1909, au descoperit: “o casa luxoasa cu ferestre mari, cu vedere la mare”. Dupa prima excavatie, a fost gasita o pictura murala rosie desavarsit executata, dar absolut indescifrabila. Datorita acestei descoperiri, acest sit este cunoscut sub denumirea de Villa dei Misteri. “Peretii incaperii erau acoperiti cu imagini expresive ale unor oameni pe un fundal intens, rosu-inchis.”

Utilizarea extravaganta a vermilionului urmarea intentia de a inspira veneratie deoarece: “vermilionul era cel mai ravnit pigment rosu din acele vremuri.”

Vermilionul sau sulfura de mercur, se gaseste in natura sub forma de cinabru. Acest mineral rosu reprezinta principalul minereu din care se extrage mercurul.

 Revenind la modelul“Romantic” prin care mi-am personalizat oglinda, putem spune dar putem si observa in imagini cum arata oglinda inainte si cum arata dupa. Oglinda a fost incastrata in perete cu ajutorul unor holsuruburi si niste elemente din plastic alb, care aratau inestetic si atrageau atentia. Am ales sa maschez aceste elemente inestetice, cu ajutorul unor trandafiri rosii, confectionati (manual) din carton colorat si hartie creponata. Trandafirii au fost aplicati pe oglinda cu ajutorul unui pistol pentru lipit cu silicon.

Povestea oglindei incepe asa:

Intr-o zi de iunie, tanara misterioasa a plecat intr-o scurta excursie in gradina botanica. Gradina pastreaza si azi pe aripile ei trandafiri inmiresmati, trandafiri picurati cu buline, trandafiri de diverse culori, modelați în valuri, boboci de trandafiri (Petrina Walter Showalter, Angela Kordes, Leipzig Wilhelm Jeh Kordes, Sheila’s, Perfume John Sheridan, Forever Young, Rhapsody In Blue, Holstein perle Kordes, Pascali Lens, Baccara Meilland, Super Star Tantau, Pinguin W. Hordes, Hocus Pocus.), pergole cu trandafiri urcători, specii de plante rare, arbori spectaculoși, păsări, insecte, pui de rățuște și mamele lor, broaște țestoase și pui de broaște țestoase, nuferi și multe alte minunății. 

După ce a vizitat o parte din gradina, tânăra s-a așezat pe o banca în fata unui lac, de unde privea ratele și puii. A stat un timp, un timp prețios de relaxare, timp în care privea lacul, ratele, și asculta cântecul melodios al păsărilor din gradina. 

S-a făcut seara, lacul s-a intunecat, ratustele s-au așezat sa doarmă la umbra unui Taxodium de langa lac. Ioana a plecat acasă. Odată ajunsa in casa, observa cum oglinda în care se uita de obicei s-a schimbat. Privește spre ea și deodată au inflorit pe loc, chiar pe marginile oglinzii trandafiri roșii înmiresmati. 

S-a oprit sa se uite la chipul ei, și i-a observat. 

• Sunt minunați! (spuse ea în gând) 

Apoi, observa pe chipul sau, doua cruciulițe negre și doua inimioare negre. A înțeles apoi totul. Oglinda ii transmitea ceva. Încerca să-i spună ca este o oglinda speciala, chiar fermecata. Încerca să-i redescopere o latura romantica a ei, să-i redescopere o latura romantica a tinerei misterioase. Tânăra uitase de romantismul din trăsăturile sale de caracter, uitase de sensibilitatea ei și de aceea au apărut trandafirii. 

Semnele de pe fata erau de fapt lacrimile de veselie și de tristețe pe care le-a avut de-a lungul vieții. 

Aceasta latura sensibila a fetei, era de mult uitata și ascunsa în negura timpului. Dar iată, în aceasta zi s-a redescoperit cu ajutorul oglinzii fermecate.

Best Easter Ideas- Egg decoration

Ever since I was a child, I couldn’t wait for Easter to arrive when I could enjoy painting eggs with my mother. Later, I turned this pleasure into a passion. You can experiment with a multitude of methods to decorate your eggs in your own style. I used plastic eggs that already had hangers. You can also remove the insides of white eggs and attach a nylon hanger, which you can glue with the soldering gun (but this will take you longer!). 

There are also special egg holders that make drawing easier (see image). For children, but also for you, I recommend plastic or wooden eggs. There are many techniques and approaches you can use to personalize your egg, such as acrylic painting, tempera painting, crayon drawing, crayon painting + black ink / permanent liner, simple or painted lace applications, and the classic leaf technique (use a normal egg, over which you place a leaf or flower, and place it in tights. Then, knot it and immerse it in the egg paint. It will stay next to the white leaf or flower, and what remains will be colored). You can also apply the petals of natural or artificial flowers, glued with water, transparent fluid, or silicone glue on normal white or plastic eggs. Wooden eggs can also be decorated with golden glue strips, or they can be covered with crepe paper and glitter. You can also use wrapping paper (see pictures). 

For normal emptied eggs, there is also a technique you can use involving ear sticks and gold or acrylic tempera. You can create your own model with gold dots and/or another color, using chopsticks (for this you will need special support).

That’s why I really like spring and I can’t wait for Easter to come every year. This holiday also has a strong spiritual charge, because our Savior Jesus sacrificed himself for us. What could be more wonderful than the very example of Jesus’ love and sacrifice? May the love, sacrifice, and peace of Jesus always dwell in our hearts and homes.

Cele mai bune idei pentru Paste-Decorarea oualelor

Inca din copilarie, abea asteptam sa vina Pastele si sa ma pot bucura impreuna cu mama mea de vopsirea oualelor. Mai tarziu, mi-am transformat aceasta placere intr-o pasiune. Poti experimenta o multitudine de metode de a-ti decora si incondeia ouale in stilul tau. Eu am utilizat oua de plastic, care aveau deja si agatatori. Poti sa utilizezi si oua albe, carora le poti goli interiorul si poti sa le atasezi o agatatoare din nailon, pe care o poti lipi cu pistolul de lipit. (insa acest lucru iti va lua mai mult timp!) Exista si supoturi speciale pentru oua, care sa te ajute sa desenezi mai usor (vezi imagine). Pentru copii, dar si pentru tine recomand ouale din plastic sau din lemn. Pentru a-ti personaliza ouale, exista foarte multe tehnici si abordari: pictura cu acrilice, pictura cu tempera, desen cu carioci, si pictura si carioci+ tus negru/liner permanent, aplicatii de dantela simple sau pictate, tehnica clasica cu frunze (utilizezi un ou normal, peste care asezi o frunza sau floare si il imbraci cu dres, dupa care il innozi si il scufunzi in vopseaua de oua- iti va ramane in dreptul frunzei sau florii alb, iar ce ramane va fi colorat), poti aplica petale de la flori naturale/artificiale lipite cu apa sau lipici transparent fluid/sau silicon pe oua albe normale sau din plastic; Ouale din lemn pot fi decorate si cu ajutorul unor benzi auri cu lipici, sau pot fi imbracate cu hartie creponata si sclipici, deasemeni poti utiliza chiar si hartie de impachetat (vezi poze). Pentru ouale normale golite, mai exista si o tehnica cu betisoare de ureche si tempera auriu/acrilic, iti creezi propriul model cu puncte aurii/sau de alta culoare, utilizand betisoarele; (pentru acest lucru ai nevoie de suportul special).

Iata de ce imi place foarte mult primavara si abea astept sa vina Pastele, in fiecare an. Aceasta sarbatoare are si o incarcatura spirituala puternica, deoarece Mantuitorul nostru Isus s-a sacrificat pentru noi. Ce poate fi mai minunat, decat insusi exemplul de dragoste si sacrificiu al lui Isus? Iubirea, sacrificiul si pacea lui Isus sa locuiasca mereu in inimile si casele nostre.
